1. How were Rodinia and Pangaea similar and different from each other?

Continents are assembled into a supercontinent, only this time North America is in the middle instead of Africa. This earlier supercontinent was the Rodinia. The pangaea seemed more conected. They were both once supercontienents.
2. When did the tectonic plates appear to move the fastest? (biggest difference between two consecutive maps)

350 and 420

3. Look at Pangaea (250 million years ago). If the continents looked like Pangaea today, what would the world be like? Think about governments, sports teams and leagues, and other aspects of life.
If the Pangaea was the same as 250 million years ago then there would be closer to other contienents so there might be much more less debt between countries. There would probably be a lot more wars going on.
 4. Look at Pangaea. If you could pick any place in Pangaea to start a modern civilization, where would you pick? Why? (there is a key on the bottom of the page that explains what the little letters in the maps stand for. For example, "ar" means Arabia.)

750 million years ago NA because  it looks the biggest so there will be a bigger population.

China Town Dawg ! =)

1. How deep is the deepest mine in the world?

-TauTona gold mine in South Africa   ;3.6 km

2. How deep would you have to dig to reach the mantle?

3000 km

3. Let's pretend that you and your friends tried to dig a hole in your backyard to find a shortcut to China. The thing is, you guys had special suits that could withstand extreme temperatures, so you would not die. If you were somehow able to reach the mantle, what would it look like? What kinds of things would you see? How about the outer core? Inner core? What would it look like as you approached the surface (the crust) on the other side?

The mantle would look like a huge rock with high temperatures. My friends and I would see a liquid- solid rock.  The outer core was a liquid and we would able to basically chill in a hot tub. The inner core would be ride a bike and try out skateboarding for once. As I approach the crust I would see grass, people and maybe a toy store.

Maiah Rocks ! =)

I think that I deserve 100 on my blogs becuase I did try my hardest to answer the problems correctly and I have turned in all of the assignments on time. My favorite blog was the one where we were able to graph all the informtion about the different types of vehicles. I was able to see how my mother actully goes through gas and I was able to understand why she complains about it all the time.
