Blog 6 ! =)

1. Which blog was your best this quarter? Why?

I enjoyed doing the blog post number 4 because I took my time looking p the information for the sunflower pollen and I answered the questions correctly.

2. What topic did you enjoy learning about the most (from chapter 17-20)? Why? Include a picture.

I enjoyed learning about wind speed. I liked being able to team up with a partner ( that I actually liked) and build the anemometer.

3. What grade do you deserve for your 3rd Quarter Blogs? (Keep in mind some basic math. If you only did 3 out of 6 of them you cannot earn above a 50%.)

I think do deserve a 100% because I took my time and revised each blog post and made sure they were done accurately.

SunFlower. =)

1. Check out Fayetteville's pollen forecast. Which is affecting us the most right now: tree, grass, or weed pollen? Specifically, which trees, grasses, or weeds?
Oak Tree Pollen is affecting us most in Fayetteville.

2. "You're Surrounded by Pollen," so read this article. What is needed for a "perfect storm" of pollen?
Long winter pushed back growing seasons for some plants and trees, causing them to bloom simultaneously instead of at various intervals with dry, windy weather, and you have a perfect storm of pollen.

3. Choose a microscopic image of pollen. Which one looks the best to you? Why? Where is this pollen commonly found? Write a paragraph in your own words explaining this specific type of pollen. Include a cool-looking picture. You may need to use other websites to help you.

The Sunflower pollen looks best to me because it is huge, and round with like pointy sides. Sunflower pollen is found in North Carolina, Kansas, New Mexico, etc. It orginated in North America and used as a medicine plant in Europe. It was also very popular as a type of food.

Yo' Mama ! =) #3

1. The five main states of matter are Solids, liquids, gases, plasmas, and Bose-Einstein.
2. Energy is needed to change gas into plasma.
3. The temperatures are 0. (Kelvin) , -273.15 ( Degree Celsius), and -459.67 ( Degree Farenheit)
4.  The temperature in space is 3(Kelvin).
5. What do you think plasma would like look/smell/feel/taste? How about Bose-Einstein Condensates? Do some research on other sites, but ultimately come up with your own unique answer :) I think plasma would look like gas , they probably would not have a smell, it would be way too hot to touch, and it would also be very dangerous to eat/taste it. I think Bose-Einstein Condensates would look like a cold solid ice cube, it probably would not have any type of distinct smell, and would maybe be cold enough to give you frost bite, and it also would be wat too cold to touch. OUCH ! !

BLOG POST #2 =)

1. List three technologies that the school plans to utilize.

The school plans to utilize rainwater collections, geothermal A/C and solar photovoltaic power systems tecnologies.

2. Explain each one. (you may need to check out other websites for research)

Rainwater collection is when you collect rain water through pipes and recycle the water.
Geothermal A/C is when there are pipes undergoround that heat or aircondition your house.
Solar photovoltaic system is the use of solar panels.

3. Earth Day is coming up. Click on one of the Core Issues. Which one did you choose?

Recycling And Wasting Reduction
4. What is the big problem associated with this issue?

There are toxic chemicals that leak into the ground from garbage.

5. What can you do to fix this problem? Give me a solid paragraph.

In order to fix this problem a lot more people should get involved and help support recycling. People should stop dumping toxic chemicals into their trash since they all eventually end up leaking into the ground. These chemicals could be killing off potential plants and in the long run will end up hurting the economy. People should reduce the amount of waste we produce.

MaiahMarie Is The Best ! =)

1.What was your best blog this quarter? What made it so good?
I liked doing the Wordle because it was something different and it was very simple. I also liked being able to choose the font and background.

2. What grade do you deserve for your blogs this quarter? Why? (Remember to do some basic math here. If you have only attempted 5 out of 7 blogs, the absolute highest grade you could earn is 71%) I think I deserve 100% because I took time and did put effort into the blog posts that we've been assigned.

3. What was your favorite topic in 2nd Quarter? Why? (Ch. 8,9,10,12,14, 16) Give me a solid paragraph explaining your answer. Include a picture.
Chapter 9 because we were able to learn about the Pangaea and about the contiental drift.
